The being known as Thanatos was born long ago, in the dimensional hell known as the Stygian. But after the takeover by Hades and Lucifer Morningstar, he and his parents were forced to flee. He moved to our dimension and became a warlord. He conquered lands, then a whole planet. After conquering Gualen, he became a collector of universal artifacts.  When Black Shadow came into power, Thanatos immediately joined up with him, wanting to align himself with the most powerful.  When he encounters the Spices, he has already managed to cause a fire on their ship that has all but seven members available to come to his planet. He has interest in Pitney's Golden Power Staff...will he get it?
